Laser Acne Treatment
Described as ‘the most significant

effective procedure. Clinical studies have
shown laser treatment to be comparable to
if not more effective than prescription
antibiotics. As importantly, the treatment is
a virtually painless treatment without any
side effects.
How does it work?
The Fotona has a collagen replenishment
application, which helps repair the damage
caused by acne infection and improves acne
scarring. As a result the treatment has a
long lasting beneficial effect on acne and the
overall texture of the skin.

Thread Vein Removal
The appearance of red, purple or blue
spider veins on the face and legs can result
in poor skin complexion that can cause
embarrassment or self-consciousness for
many individuals.
The laser light penetrates the outer skin
and coagulates the blood in the targeted
blood vessel. This causes the vein to
blanche and then disappear through
re-absorption into the surrounding cells.
The light impacts the vein without causing
damage to the surrounding skin tissue and
is therefore an extremely simple and
safe procedure. Results are generally
immediate although it may take a few days
for re-absorption to occur.

Photorejuvenation
Photorejuvenation refers to the procedure
of using light photons (laser light) to
rejuvenate areas of skin, but does not
injure the skin surface. In contrast, laser
resurfacing procedures do injure the outer
skin surface and thus have a longer
recovery period.
Photorejuvenation is used to treat sun
damaged skin, fine wrinkles to even-out
skin discolouration, texture, pigmentation,
broken capillaries, facial rosacea or redness,
poikiloderma of civatte (red neck/chest).
Generally, redness and swelling lasts from a
few hours to a few days.
How much does it cost?
Sessions from or around £100-£250.
Micro-dermabrasion is used before laser
rejuvenation allowing laser light to
penetrate as new skin cells.
Laser hair removal is not for everyone. In
general the requirement is that one's hair
must be darker than the surrounding skin.
Light skin makes hair removal easier to
perform, however people with darker skin
can also be treated. Dark hair absorbs more
laser energy and is easier to treat. Coarse
dark hair responds the best, light hair is
more difficult to treat, but can be treated
with higher fluences.
Laser treatment requires multiple
treatments, although one laser session can
produce long-term hair removal, as a rule
multiple sessions are necessary to obtain
optimal results.
Treatment cost varies with the size of the
area treated. Large areas, such as an entire
back or entire legs can cost over £350 per
treatment. Small areas such as an upper lip
can be about £75 per session, it is
necessary to obtain exact pricing.
